First Focus - Community Services
We provide a professional web design and web development service for small to medium sized businesses, local organisations and charities.
Located in the town of Wells-next-the Sea at the heart of the North Norfolk coast, the Honey Store Web design studio can provide a web presence as unique as you are.
Great web design doesn't need to cost a fortune. We create unique web sites designed to comply with W3C web standards and accessibility guidelines. We will help you with the choice of a suitable domain name and hosting service for your web site. Set up email accounts and email forwarding, contact and feedback forms.
Selling your products and services online depends on the visibility of your site on Google and other search engines. We have the expertise to make your web site stand out from the crowd.
You always talk to the same person and I make it my business to promote your business, just give me a call to get things started.
Lower overheads mean your project costs are much less.
Projects are completed faster - you get my complete and undivided attention.
Here at the HoneyStore Web Design Studio, the process of creating a bespoke website begins with an informal chat over a cup of coffee, where we can discuss your requirements.
If we cannot meet in person then a phone call or email will get the ball rolling.
Do you have a brand identity, logo or colour scheme associated with your business ?
Have you got a domain name that reflects your business identity ?
Do you have good quality digital images to use within the web site ?
What information are your users going to need and in what format ?
Is this information already available or will it have to be generated ?
Who are your competitors and do they have websites ?
Do you wish to sell your products online ?
Do you wish to update the site yourself ?
Once we have all the facts, the design process can begin, not with computer software but with a pencil and sketchpad.
I will produce a list of topic areas to be covered within the site, then group all related subjects under main headings, this Information Architecture will provide the basis for the site navigation, the number of pages required and the subject of the page content.
Still with the pencil, we can now begin with a few sketches of page layout options to determine the best visual, user friendly page layout. Once the best option is agreed, it's time to produce the page designs in Photoshop, giving you the first opportunity to see your web site design on screen.
From here it will be sliced and the pages hand coded with XHTML and CSS, server side code for blogs, shopping carts and other dynamic web applications within your site.
Finally, testing the website prior to public launch.
We continue to support you with any help you may require in keeping your web site's content up to date, changing text, images etc.
Even if you have chosen to manage your web site yourself with a built -in CMS (Content Management System), we are always on hand to offer advice and back-up
should you need it.
