My name is Frances (but most people call me Fran – much to my mothers’ annoyance). For the majority of my working life I have been involved with office and administration work. Unfortunately this adds up to a mind blowing 30 plus years.
I live with my husband, Nigel, teenage daughter and an excessively hairy lurcher in Wells-next-the-Sea on the stunning North Norfolk coast. I was born and bought up in Hertfordshire and was fortunate enough to be able to move to Wells in 1996.
My first job was as an office junior in an estate agent, before going to work as a receptionist at a local newspaper. This gave me my first introduction into the world of computers with word processing and data entry. I then moved on to work as a PA/Admin controller for a sales company where I stayed until my daughter was born in 1992.
Prior to moving to Wells I spent a couple of years working part time as a receptionist at a leisure centre and after the move worked in the admin department at a local secondary school. During the last 5 years I returned to the world of estate agency, as an administrator and more recently worked as a freelance co-ordinator for a local charitable society. This is where I have become increasingly aware of the need for occasional office support in the local area.
I am experienced in word processing, desktop publishing, invoicing, data entry, copy typing, along with poster and leaflet design. In fact the majority of work carried out by an administrator in an office can quite easily be done from my office at home.
So, if you are struggling to keep up with your admin or would just like help in completing a project but do not want to employ someone on a permanent basis then please call or email to discuss your requirements. I am happy to receive or deliver projects by email, post or in person.

A Freelance Administrator is a self-employed administrator with knowledge and experience gained over many years from working in a wide range of businesses. They can offer you support from their own office via the internet, phone, email and post.
Are you devoting time on administration tasks when your expertise would be better spent elsewhere? Are you struggling to complete a project on time or just need an extra pair of hands? Do you need assistance for just a couple of hours weekly/monthly or even just now and again? There are numerous reasons why I could be of assistance.
Using a freelance administrator will give you the flexibility so many small business need. You only pay for the time spent on a particular project. There is no need to employ a permanent member of staff with all the additional paperwork, PAYE etc that this involves. As the freelance administrator uses their own computer, printer etc this can save considerable time and expense for small businesses.
Work can be sent by post, email or delivered in person. I am also happy to collect within a 10 mile radius of Wells-next-the-Sea.
Some projects can be easily discussed over the phone but for more detailed requirements it is normally more beneficial to arrange to meet. Meetings can either be carried out at my home or if within a 10 mile radius of Wells. For a first meeting to discuss requirements etc there will be no charge but for subsequent meetings there will be a charge for travel (per mile) and the duration of the meeting. Please call to discuss charges etc if outside this area.
Costs will obviously vary depending on the complexity and type of work. A one off project will normally be priced in the region of £13.00 per hour, but if a business requires regular assistance or help on a larger project, terms will be agreed in advance. Charges start at a minimum of 1 hour and are then at 15 minute increments.
Any additional costs will be discussed prior to commencement of work. These may include for example: postage; CD/DVD’s; specialist paper ie coloured paper, card, photo quality paper; presentation folders etc.
I am not VAT registered and therefore do not charge VAT
